The Dynamics 365 Business Central Device license allows multiple users to simultaneously use a device that is covered by the license. For example, it might be a point of sales, shop floor, or warehouse device. When you’ve purchased a number of device licenses, up to that number of users assigned to the
Dynamics 365 Business Central Device Users group can sign in at the same time. Users with the Device license can now set up jobs to run as scheduled tasks in the job queue of Business Central. Device users are concurrent users and when it’s time to run their scheduled tasks, they’ll be automatically signed in to run their tasks in background sessions. When their tasks are running, each of them is considered present in the system and using a device license.
